DUNEDIN, this day.

Tlie Evennig Star Co. and Professor Bedford were charged under the war regulations, the former with publishing and the latter with communicating information m reference to movements of a transport engaged on a voyage, the course of which 'was partially north oi the Equator. The defence* was that the transport having returned to New Zealand the restriction of the regulation was exhausted; also that the interview complained of was followed by a serief of articles on the same subject, m which fuller particulars of .the.same kind were given and passed by the censor. The case was adjourned for a week tc procure a statement from the censor as= to his position m the matter.
