(Per Pfcss Association.) WANGANUI, this day. Old boys of the Wanganui Collegiate School, who are presenting a chapel to that institution, last night, through the executive, accepted the tender of Meuli (Wanganui) at something over £4000. The foundation-stone will bo laid on Easter ' Sunday. A large gathering is expected from all parts of the Dominion. WELLINGTON, this day. There has been some uncertainty as to the date of the annual meeting of the Waihi Mining Company m London. It is now announced by tlio Wellington Waihi shareholders' committee that tho meeting is almost certain to be held about the 20th of May, and proxies can not be received later than 17th March. Such proixes aro valid without being signed before witnesses. NELSON, this day. i „ There has been no rain here for some weeks, but there was rain m showers at Murohison yesterday, and more rain is threatening. There are indications of tho break-up of the drought m the Buller district.
