The Bank of New Zealand Estates Company's debentures at 4 per cent., amounting to £750,000, to replace the present 5£ per cents., have keen over subscribed. Sydney, June 4. A conference of bankers from New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, and Queensland is discussing future banking legislation and the establishment of a system of intercolonial reserve. Business in silver shares continues very good, but prices to-day were slightly weaker, except in Central f s, which are selling higher. William Styles, aged 103, was recently sentenced to six month's imprisonment for vagrancy by" the Uarlton (Victoria) Magistrates, P .....,J.. .......
