Intercolonial Medical Congress.

Wellington, to-day,
Doctors Cai'ill (Wellington), Mirbach (Hawke'a Bay), aud Fergusson (Dunedin) were appointed a reception committee in connection wifeh the Intercolonial Medical Congress^ to be held in Dunedin in 1896. They waited on the Premier with a request that free railway passes should be granted to delegates attending the Congress, and that Government should entertain the visitors by taking them to the Sounds in the Hinemoa, and should also print the transactions of the conference. The Chief Railway Commissioner promised that free passes should be granted, and Mr Seddon said he would consult his colleagues with regard to the other requests of the deputation.
