New Zealand scored 12 points, and the other placed colonies 6 points each, the points being awarded on the relative position of the men at the fiuish in the race. Kerr, of Sydney, was first by five yards, with Hayward, New Zealand, second, and Wilmofc, New Zealand, third ; time, Smins. 43 l-sth sees. Wilmot won tha mile scratch race by ten yards from Hayward ; time, 2mins. 41 l-sthsees ; six started. At the races yesterday the horse Ducrow fell in the Waverley Handicap, and having put his shoulder out was destroyed. The jockey, Kennedy, was removed to the hospital, suffering from concussion of the brain. Sept. 24.— Sailed : Wakatipu for Welington. Among her passengers are the New Zealand 'cyclists.
