A WARSHIP SINKS.
♦ EIGHTY LIVES LOST. ONLY ONE PERSON SAVED. FOUL PLAY SUSPECTED. New York, Sept. 24. — News from the West Indies states that the Haytian warship Alexandre, which was conveying a number of diplomatists negotiating a treaty with San Domingo, sank like a stone off Cape Tiburon, at the western extramity of the island. Eighty persons were drowned, in. eluding all the officers and foreign consuls. Only one person was saved, It is suspected that the vessel was deliberately scuttled.
