Moses did not increase his score ; Turner made 29 ; Sharp secured six wickets for 84 runs ; and Peel 3 for 54. The Englishmen in their first innings made 248, the principal scorers being Grace and Bean 50 each, Abel 42, Briggs not out 41, and M. Reid 36. LAUNCESTON, Jan. 4. Up to date the exhibition has been risked by 75,000 people. NEWCASTLE, Jan. 4. The ship lolanthe has arrived safely, after a voyage of nearly 100 days from Brisbane. Adverse winds were responsible for the protracted voyage.
