The latter in another advertisement states the assertions of Hooper are untrue, and were obtained under threat of an action, at the time when the detention of Hooper in New Zealand would have seriously inconvenienced him. Hooper left the colony last week for Australia. Mynott in his actions agaiust the Herald and Corkill claims LSOO damages. The Gairlouk still lies on the north spit at the entrance to the Waitara river. An attempt was made to haul her off, but without success, and she will now have to remain till the spring tide, about Sunday next. Her position at present is not considered dangerous.
