DUNEDIN.
This Day. Mr. Vincent Pyke having been reported to have said at one of his mooting* that a seat in the Legislative Council had been offered him if ho would retire from the House, the Premier telegraphs "no offer of the kind has been make to Pyke by our Government, and never heard of such an offer being made by any other Government.
