This Day. The candidates for Egmont are Sherwood, Atkinson, and McGuire. Sherwood has declared for the Liberal party, but not favorable to Sir George Grey as leader. Mr. McGuire has not yet declared on which side he is, and is expected to retire. Major Atkinson addressed a large meeting at Carlyle, on Tuesday night, a vote of confidence was proposed, but negatived.
