This Day. Terrible accounts of the severity of the weather m the McKenzie country have reached to^n. Many persons have undergone fearful sufferings, and have narrowly escaped with.their lives. ' Some are more or less frost-bifcien, Already a large number of sheep are reported to be lost m the sno^r which is now hard frozen. A man named Thomas Price, died from exposure m the snow at Burkes Pass last Friday and his body was taken to Tiniaru. yesterday.
