WELLINGTON.
This Day. Nothing yet has been decided respecting filling Mr. Stout's place m the Cabinet. Mr. Sheehan arrived last night. James Mackay has come over from, the West Coast to confer here with . the Native Minister respecting Taranaki Native affairs. It is contemplated that Dr. Hector be sent as a special commissioner to represent this colony at the Sydney Exhibition. A fine new Hall erected for Ancient Order of Foresters was opened on Wednesday night with a banquet.
