Thiß Day. The Taradale ploughing match yesterday was a great success. The number of entries were large, and the competition keen, and the ploughing excellent. The nomination for the East Coast Maori Election took place here yesterday. Four candidates were nominated viz : Henare Matua, Henare Tomoana, Henare Pukuatua, and Hans Tapqell. The show of hands was m favor of Henare Tomoana. A poll was demanded by Matua.
