NEW PLYMOUTH.

This Day. The urgent meeting of the Waste Lands Board called by the request of the G >vernment by telegram was held yesterday afternoon. The Government desire to offer a third of 15,000 acres of land on the Waimate Plains on deferred payments, the remaining two-thirds to be sold by auction for cash at Carlyle, on. the 6th of April. The land is of special value, and the upset price is to be £5 an acre. The Government requested the Board to pass a resolution to the same effect as the. particulars sent in the telegram, which was done in sale to be gazetted.
