This Day. The following letter, relative to Vogel'a conduct m connection with the New Zealand Agricultural Company appears m a London paper : Sir, — I have seen the prospectus of the New Zealand Agricultural Company. It is said m the City that the vendors' agents, Yogel and another, are entitled to about £80,000 out of the purchase money as commission for floating the Company. If this be the fact, tho public should know it. I have examined the register at Somerset House, and find documents authorising these payments not tiled for pubiio inspection. — Yours respectfully, Investor. London January 29th.
Mr. R. J. Creighton has been interesting himself to secure the shipment of prairie hens for the Canterbury Acclimatisation Society. The auunal meeting of the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held this afternoon. The balancesheet showed a total receipts of £2628 12s lOd. During the past year nearly £1200 has been spent on buildings. Dr. J. L. Campbell was re-elected president ; James Dilworth, Vice-president ; Alfred Buckland, Treasurer.
