Captain Smttli, of the steamer Mohaka, fell from the top-mast of the vessel into the sea, when nearing Parangahan bar, on Saturday, and was drowned. The body was washed ashore yesterday, and will be brought to Napier, and an inquest will be held before Dr. Hitchings to-morrow.
