Following the Fukushima c-olliery explosion rescuers made most, strenuous efforts and saved all of the 130 workers, of whom nine are in a critical condition. WIDOWER’S DEATH. RIFLE ALONGSIDE BODY. As a result of being struck by a motor-car at a street intersection last night, Mrs Ellen Moorhouse was admitted to hospital w T ith serious injuries. It was raining at the time, and the driver, a high school hoy, stated that he did not see Mrs Moorhouse till it wa s too late» to avoid the accident.
YOUTH SERIOUSLY INJURED. OAMARU, April 9. Allan Mould, aged 17, was seriously injured yesterday when his rifle went off as he was getting through a fence at Kakanni. The bullet entered his side, and he was admitted to hospital. His condition is serious. FOUND DEAD IN BED. A single man. aged about 50. named William Fulton, a visitor to Wellington from Blenheim, was found dead in his bed at the New Commercial Hotel. ACCIDENTS IN WELLINGTON. M iss M. "labourer, living at Weka. Street. Miramar, was later admitted to the hospital suffering from concussion. A two-year-old child. Richard Martin. who lives with his parents at 53A Hutt Road. Lower Hutt. received severe scalds on his body. legs, and left ami. and shock, when he fell into a bucket of hot water, just drawn from the supper. A. H. Williams, of 2 Waipapa Terrace. Kataitai. a. company secretary, was knocked down by a motorcar while crossing the road near the Takapau bridge, just on the city side of Tawa. Flat. FTe sustained a fracture to his left leg
