Electric Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, Last Night. A professional light-weight boxing contest between Archie Hughes (Auckland) and Jitzgerald (Australia) ended in a draw, the judges disagreeing and the referee giving a decision which met with a very mixed reception. Fitzgerald proved himself the cleverest defensive boxer seen in Auckland for years, his opponent being at a loss to kno-w how to hithim. Whenever Fitzgerald chose to open out he piled up points with a straight left, varied occasionally with a right cross, and appeared to hold a comfortable margin at the finish. A LIVELY BOUT. At Sydney Stadium to-night in a 15 rounds bout before a targe attendance, tlie Roumanian Joe Ghnouly <.9.fi) outpointed Jimmy Kelso (9.12).
