IRISH OATH BILL
PASSED BY IRISH SENATE. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. DUBLIN, June 28. The Senate passed the Oath Bill —amended, according to one speaker, out of all recognition. Mr Connolly, Minister of Post and Telegraphs, said the Government did not intend accepting the Bill in its present form. The measure will he sent to the Dail with the amendments. MR. BALDWIN EMPHATIC. LONDON, June 29. Mr Stanley Baldwin, in a speech, referring to Ireland, regretted any interference between Ireland and Britain. “What has happened is none of our doing,” lie said. “It is claimed that the Treaty -was made under duress. If that is true, it would be equally true to claim that ttiere is another kind of duress. Our side can only say, after what lias taken place, that we can see no chance of Britain entering into any -negotiations with Ireland at Ottawa.”
