TO-DAY’S SHOW.

FRUIT, FLOWERS AND COOKERY Although the entries received up till last evening were well ahead of last year, those which came to hand this morning surprised the optimistic member of the committee. In practically every single section of the show remarkably fine entries came to hand, and the 1930 gathering should rank as perhaps the most success!ill in toe history of the Society. There is a wonderful display of cut flowers, cookery and preserves, vegetables and fancy-work, and the children’s section is better th an any previous year. There is also a splendid exhibition of photography, paintings and drawings. Great interest is being taken in the decorated tables for adults and children. and both competitions will be decided by the popular vote, a voting coupon being handed to each patron on entering tlie hall. The result of -the voting will he announced th s evening. There will be games and competitions to-night, and the bean hoard will he in charge of Mrs E. E. Etz. The doors will be open to the public at 7.3 d o'clock, and judging by the interest and enthusiasm that is being evinced in the show, a packed gathering is anticipated. There will he a sa’c of vegetables at 10 o'clock. The following donations to the luncheon and tea-rooms are gratefully acknowledged: Mesdames G. H. Styles. W. G. Eising, C. Horrax. R. <'. Yates. J.
