Tlie Postmaster-General states that be cannot understand the New Zealand -Minister of Marine’s recent statement that there was no chance ot Australia joining in the All Red scheme under the conditions outlined by Canada, since the Federal Government had made special arrangements under which six vessels would be- built. Air Thomas points out that tlie only six vessels with which the Federal Government arc concerned are new boats for the Orient service, and they have no relation whatever to the All Red scheme.
