(The Rev. John Alarshall Lang had been Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the Aberdeen University since 1900. He was 75 years of age.) The Duke of Norfolk has sold Holbein’s picture of Christina, Duchess of Alilan, for £66,000. Uerlin, Alay 2. Six more docks of a capacity sufficient to accommodate Dreadnoughts will be completed in Germany during 1910. Vienna, Alay 3. Tbo Neue Erie Presse reports that besides tour Dreadnoughts Austria is completing within two years three battleships of the Franz Ferdinand type, and constructing four swift cruisers and submarines. Buenos Ayres, Alay 2. Anarchists at Buenos Ayres provoked a riot, in the course of which twelve persons were killed and one hundred injured.
