ALLEGED SLY-GROG SELLING
Witnesses Spirited Away. liy Telegraph.—Per Tress Association. Dunedin, This Day. The cases of alleged sly-grog selling against John McCorley and two members of his family at Balclutha lod to unexpected developments. At the outset tho police intimated that the charges would be withdrawn, as tlm principal witnesses had been spirited away. Inspector Purdy hinted that a Justice of the Peace was instrumental in this. Tho information was dismissed and tho Magistrate said he hoped the police would not allow matters to remain as they are now.
