THE PLIMSOLL MARK.

CHARGE AGAINST STEAMER MASTER. AUCKLAND, May 1. Wilbert Stanley „ Clark, master of the steamer Awahou, was charged with allowing the vessel’s Plimsoll mark to be submerged 2£in. The breach was corrected immediately his attention was drawn to it by the removal of 17 tons of deck cargo. The court held that the offence was not serious, and dismissed the charge on,payment of costs.
