SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CHILDREN OF FALLEN SOLDIERS.
The chance of winning prizes valued at about £6,300 will not be available. to the public after June 30. This \s the date of the closing- of the Trentham Dominion Scholarships Art Union, which offers a first prize valued at £IOOO, and 170 others, making up the total given. The splendid object of this Fund, which is to educate the children of New Zealand's fallen heroes, is an inducement to contribute willingly and liberally. The tickets are on sale all over New Zealand, or can be obtained direct from the Secretary, P.O. Box 281, Wellington. In writing for tickets, stamped addressed envelopes should be included. The secretary points out that the time is getting very short, and those who are selling tickets should do their utmost to make the greatest possible sales during the final month. "Digger's" children are worth the effort.
