INTERNATIONAL EIGHT-OAR RACES. Sir orews have entered for an international eight-oared race, to be rowed on the Seine on Sunday. The New Zealand crew comprises Wilson, White, Nestor, Oombcr, Patterson, Rutledge, Hadfield, Herdy (stroke), and Russell (coxswain). Tho race will be rowed in three heats over a mile and a-half course. The New landers' average weight is 1801 b, and they are the heaviest crew except the Newfoundlanders, but the Americans have the advantage in height. . . New Zealand beat America in the eightoared race by three-quarters of a length. Five boats took part in the race. MOTOR CYGLINC RECORD. MELBOURNE, April 25. W J. Cusley has established a world's record by motor cycling 101 miles in 90 minutes 6 seconds.
