THE HOSPITAL SHIP FUND.

FINAL AI*LOOATION. The executive of the Hospital Ship Fund, after very careful consideration and consultation, has decided, with the approval of the Government, to utilise the small remaining balance - of the cash in hand, now that the services of the Marama and Maheno as hospital ships have been dispensed with, for the provision of a students' hall for the Medical Students' Training Corps at the Medical School in Dunedin. In this building provision will bo made fpr the installation of the latest medical appliances. The decision has been arrived at after consultation with the four centres and it is felt that this scheme would benefit not only the military, but the civil training of medical students, and incidentally would prove of great value to the community at large. All the equipment which has been supplied voluntarily or whioh has been purchased has been allocated as follows: That belonging to the Marama to the military hospitals in the North Island, and that belonging to the Maheno to those in the South Island.
