OBSERVANCE IN CHRISTCHURCH. \ CHRISTCHURCH, May 3. To-day differences of creed and dogma havo been put aside, and Anglican and 9 Nonconformist have stood side by side in Christchurch Anglican Cathedral taking part mi services on the occasion of a day, of intercession in connection with the "war. ~j The services, which commenced at 9 a.m. and continued till 9 p.m., were vejSy largely attended throughout, and it is estimated that over 10,000 people woro in the cat-he- | dral during the 12 hours. Over 60 minis* tors and laymen took part in tho services, two-thirds of whom were not Anglican. | Bishop Julius took the closing service; and the Mayor (Mr H. Holland) conducted tha service from noon till 1 p.m.
