D J.C. COMMITTEE.
■ The monthly meeting of the D.J.C. Com' , mifctee was hekl on Thursday afternoon; i present—Hon. Sir Geo. M'Lean (in the chair), Messrs J. Ha.zlett, J. Gow, J. i Thomson, W. J. Coughlan, L. C. Hazlett, P. Miller, W. L. Philp. H. Salmon, S. Myers, and G. B. Bullock. The list of dates for country .clubs' meetings for 1910-11 as submitted was approved, and ordered to be sent to the Racing- Conference. The Strath-Taieri Racing Club wrote asking the D.J.C. to recommend its club for a totalise tor permit.—lt was resolved to recommend the club if any permits were available. G. J. Pine wrote asking if the club would remove part of his disqualification.—The application was declined. It was decided to continue the grant of £2 per week to George Byrne until next J monthly meeting. | Mr R. E. Harley wrote stating that he ■ intended offering his services as starter if sufficient inducement was forthcoming.— Received.
