NEW YORK, May 26.

A Primary Election Bill—a milder substitute for that submitted by Mr Hughes—has been passed by the New York State Senate, -with Tammany's help. It is generally considered inadequate, and is likely to be vetoed. It is expected that the Republican bosses will recompense Tammany by defeating the bills against racetracks and gambling.
