The Daily Express's Berlin corespondent states that a powerful German syndicate is endeavouring to acquire a controlling interest in the Marconi Company and its dependent companies. The recent convention compelled the Marconi stations to accept messages from German and other rival systems, thus, depriving the British company of predominance. The German syndicate, understanding that the Marconi Company is chagrined at the British Government agreeing to the resolution passed at the convention, ha 6 chosen this opportunity to make a bid for the Marconi properties.
