NAPIER, August 1. The Hawke's Bay Hunt Club's annual steeplechase meeting was held to-day. There was a large attendance. Results: — HUNTERS' HURDLES.— Brenda, 11.9, 1; Rangitoto, 11.5, 2; Needlework, 12.0, 3. Won easily by four lengths. Betting': 2 to 1 on the winner. _ FIBST OPEN FLAT. Once round.— Faro, 10.6, 1; Haukeria. 9.2, 2; Feu-de-joie, 9.5, 3. .Won by a head. Betting: 4to 1 agst Faro. HUNT CLUB'S STEEPLECHASE. About two mile and a-qnarter. — Rangitoto, 11.7, 1; tUian*, 11-0, 2. Won easily. Betting : Sto 1 agst Rangitoto. TRIAL PLATE. Five furlongs.—lntelligence, 9.3, 1; Kairoma, 9.2, 2; Satis, 9.2, 3. Wan by s length. Betting: sto 1 agst Intelligence. HUNTERS' FLAT. Two miles.— Sanguine, 11.0, i; Hikairoa, 11.5, 2; Brenda, 11.8, 3. A fine race; won by a head. Betting: 2 to 1 agst B*nguin*. SECOND OPEN FLAT. Seven furlongs.— Gadeity, 9.7, 1; Outer, 9.9, 2; Eangiv.henua, 9.0} 3. Betting: 4 to 1 agat Gadeley. HUNTERS' FINAL STEEPLECHASE. Two miles.— Waimotu, 11.2, 1; Snooker, 11.0, 2;- Purimu. -IL2, 3. Won by two lengths. Betting: 4 to 1 agst Waimotu.
