CLEARING SALE AT MOA FLAT
INVERCARGILL,
April 28.
At a clearing sale of Moa Flat sheep to-day 20,324 were disposed of in 30 minutes, the total money value being £17,937. With a trifling exception the whole remain in Otago. Bidding was not««so brisk as at the Mararoa sale a few weeks ago, and prices were about 2s back. Wethers, four and six-tooth brought 18s 6d; fat wethers, 21s 9d; halfbred do, fourtooth, 16s 6d and 16s ; crossbred do, two-tooths, 21s 6d ; crossbred lambs (mixed sexes), 14s 6d; full-mouthed ewes, 19s; six-tooth do, 23s 9d; freezing wethers, 19s 7d; halfbred ewes, four-tooth, 22s 6(3; do eight-tooth, 22s 4d and 225; halfbred wethers, six-tooth, 18s 6d and 18s 4d; do lambs, 12s 4<J. Only 500 halfbred ■wethers were sold for Canterbury (Morven).
