EVANSDALE MONTHLY SALE

Stronach, Morris, and Co. report having held their usual monthly sale at Evansdale on Tiiesday, the 11th inst. The day was beautifully fine, and the attendance was larger than for some time past. The yarding totalled 161 head of mixed classes. Bidding throughout was fairly spirited, and most of the yarding was sold at satisfactory prices. The following are a few of the prices obtained for the different classes: — Good dairy cows, from £6 to £7 2s 6d : medium do, £4 5s to £5 ss ; dry cows, £1 10s to £3 ; fat cows, £3 10s to £4 10s ; two and three-year-old steers, £4 9s 6d ; 18-months old do, £3 ; yearlings, £1 5s to £2 6s ; calves, from 12s 6d to 225 ; bulls, from £2 to £3.
