WAIKOUAITI MONTHLY SALE

Stronach, Morris, and Co., report having held their usual monthly sale of stock at the yards, Waikouaiti, on Thursday, the 13th inst. There was the usual attendance. Bidding for sheep was not so good as has been the case for some months back, but cattle, on the other hand, were, if anything, a shade firmer. The yarding consisted of 342 sheep and 27 head cattle. Two-tooth wethers made 16s 4d ; full-mouthed ewes, 15s ; small lambs, lls 6d : rams, from 12s to 30s ; dairy cows, £4 17s 6d to £6 2s 6d ; heiiers, £3 10s to £4 15s ; two and a-half year-old steers, £5 ss; yearlings, 355; calves, 15s to 245.
