Messrs A. Moritzson ana Co., auctioneers, wool, stock, station, grain, produce, and commission agents, report (wholesale) for the week as under. All quotations are subject to market fluctuations. We would ask farmers when sending samples always to put a price on them, as buyers do not feel inclined to rnakf offers: — Wheat. — Prices if anything lower. New velvet and Tuscan, 3s- s£d> to 3s 6d; red sorts, 3s 3d t-o 3g 4d (old wheat Id more) ; fowl wheat, 3s Id. Oats. — Demand has slackened off, and prices are easier. Milling. Is 9d; bright, short feed, Is Hd; inferior, Is 2d to Is id. Ryecorn, 3s to 3s 2d Barley. — Prime malting, fair demand at 3s 3d to 3s 6d. Chaff. — Market in over-supply. Prime oaten sheaf chaff, £3 7s 6d to £3 12s 6d ; meJmm, hard to quit at £3 to £3 5s per ton (sacks extra). Ryegrass — Fair demand. We anticipate low prices for new seed. Pota.tocs. — Market well supplied. Whiter sorts, 5s to 6s; Derwents, 6s to 6s 6d per cwt. Rabbitskins. — Suckers and runners, 4Jd to 6£d; outgoing 12id to 13Jd; late autumii3, 12id to 13id; autumn blacks, lUd to Is; winters, 15d to 17d; winter blacks, up to 22d. Sheepskins. — We hold sales every Tuesday. CroS/sbreds, extra, 8s to 10s; halibreil, up to 10s; pelts, l?vge. 3s to 3s 6d'; medium, 2.3 4cß to 2s*9d, small, Is 9d. to 2s Sd; lambs, extra, 3s 9d to 4s; medium, 3s to 3s 6d; small, 2s 6d to 2s 9d. We have just added a clover polisher, *n£l as we have a machine of the latest type for each kind of seed, we give from 5 per cent, to 10 per cent, better cleaning results than a machine which cleans ali seeds. We also store seed free of charge until cleaned, and keep same insured. Storing Grain. — We are prepared to store, receive, and deliver, insure, with three months' free storage, at 3d per sack. Our stores arc vermin proof an-d connected with siding. FRUIT AND PRODUCE REPORT Butter.— Prime salt, 6d, 8d ; off, 6d to 7d; Beparator m lib pats, 8d to BAd ; storekeepers' lots, 4£d, 5Jd (in full supply). We should advise storekeepers to salt down. BUTTER FOR EXPORT TO LONDOX. Our contract provides shipment until first Week in March. Please apply for particulars. Onions, £14 to £15. Honey. — Demand is not very strong. Prices «re z-aling from 3j<3 to 4d for good quaJity Section lioney in demand, 8s per dozen pound sections. Beeswax is 4d, wanted. Eggs (keen demand), Is 2d. Walnuts, 4|d to 5id t wanted. Bacon. — Rolls, Bd. Hams, 8d to S*d. Pigs. — For sizes up to 1601b, first-class dairyfed quality, from idButter boxes, with parchment linings, we can supply at 18s per dozen. Vickery's egg preservative, 20s per case of 8 gallons. Poultry. — Apply for particulars for export. Prices as under : Roosters, 41b each each (live weight), 3s per pair; hens, 3Jlb each (live -weight), 2s 9d per pair; hens ar.d roosters, 21ib each (liv.fi weight), 2s 3d per pair; ducks andi ducklings, 41b each (live weight) 3s 9d peor pair; ducks below 4lb. 3s. Sens and chickens must not weigh below 2|Jb each ; ducks not below 3lb each- as the department will not pAck light weights. All poultry must be consigned to poultry depot, and prices are free of railage. Fruit. — We receive consignments by every steamer from Australia, the Islands, and our own colony, and hold sales daily on arrival of consignments. Sacks. — We can quote 44in corn sacks, 6s 6d; 46m, 6s 9d: 48in, 7s; second-hand grain eacks, 5s 6d; good flour sacks, 5s per dozen, demand limited. Ovo gold medal egg preservative, part, on application.
