Paterson and Co., auctioneers, fruit and produce agents, report for the week ended Tuesday, March 14. as follows: — Supplies of fruit from Tev:ot, Christchurca, Nelson, aud Auckland are short, andi prices have been as follow,: — Oranges: Calif orniaa. 8s 6d to 9s 6d. Lemon 3: Messina, halves, 12s to 12s 6d. Bananas, 2s to 12s 6d. Pineapples, 7s 6d to 9s per case. Tomatoes : Christchurch hothouse, fron? 6d to 7£d ; locallygrown 6d"; outside, 2£d to 4Jd; Nelson, short eupply, 7s to 10s 6d; Auckland, 2s 3d to 7s per case. Plums : Nelson. 4.° to 7s ; Teviot, ljd to 2£d to 3id per Ib. Peaches, IJd to 3d per Ib. Apricots, 2d to 3Jd per Ib. Apples, 2s 6d to 5s per half-oase. Raspberries: B-tickets, 4d per lb. Cucumbers, 2s 6d to 4s per dozen. Grapes, BJd to lOJd. Produce. — Potatoes : Peninsula, £6 to £6 10s. Onions, 9s to 13s. Butter: Fresh, 5d to 6d (plentiful) ; sepaartor. 7d to 8d per lb.
