CLEARING SALE AT BERWICK.
The National Mortgage and Agency Company cf New Zealand (Limited) report li.i\ ing held a clearing sale- for Mr J. L. Baxter (Maungntiu) on Tuesday last, the lltii inst. There was a large attendance of the pu'olic, and as Mr Baxter had disposed of his farm previously, everything was offered for unreserved sale. The weather being fine and biddings spirited, a clearance was c&ected in short time at very BaU3Ucto.y puces. Draught tre'.dings brought £39 103, £38 10s, £30, »nd £20 10s lespectively ; 1 mare, £39, light harness gelding, £22 10s, 1 bngey mare, £21; 1 do, £13 10s; 1 do, £13. A few outside entries in draught horses sold up to £33. Steers brought £5 64; heifers, £4 10s; calves, 375; sheep, 13s lOd. The implements, furniture, and surdnes, being in good order, reahbed full
