(From Oue Own Correspondent.) CHRISTCHURCH, November 21. The annual meeting of the Al Gold Dredging Company 13 to be held on Tuesday next at 2.30 p.m. The third annual report of the directors states that the sum of £1275 has been distributed in dividends during the year. WlnUt it has been unfortunate that for several reasons it has not done so well during the past four months, it is now near the spot from which the best returns were obtained, and shareholders may reasonably look forward to payable results. Mr George King retires from the directorate, and offers himself for re-elec-tion. The balance sheet to October 31 shows that the gold produced during the 12 months «ai valued at £4133 13s 3d. that the central
working expenses amounted to £2871 18s 3d, and that the credit balance on the year, after deducting amount paid in dividends, amounts to £313 19s lOd. The negotiations which have been taking place between the Hokitika River and Bellevue Gold Dredging Companies for the working of the last-named company's claim, situated on the Matakitaki River, by the dredge of the fiist-named company, have now been completed, and arrangements will be made forthwith for the transporting of the dredge to the new ground. The directors of the Hokitika River Company will shortly issue a circular to shareholders giving the details of the agreement arrived at between the two companies.
