The secretary of the Enfield Gold Dredging Company reports that last week's return was 220z 16dwt. The dredgemaster of the New Alpine Consols dredge wires that he has washed up for a return of 4oz for four hours' dredging, prior to closing down. The secretary of the Enterprise Gold Dredging Company reports a return of 290z 6dwt 22gr from the No. 1 dredge for the week. The No. 2 dredge was undergoing repairs, in consequence of which there will be no wash-up. Mr Lauren39 Ryan, Alexandra, reports that the Molyneux Hydraulic dredge obtained 470z 15dwt of gold for 126 hours' work. The dredge was stopped for 12 hours owing to a. mishap to the elevator shaft. The secretary of the Inchdale Gold Dredging Company reports a return of lloz 3dwt for 136 tours' work. .The dredgemaster istates that the wash is improving. . The secretary of the Reeves s Proprietary Company reports a return of 20oz 14dwt for 150 hours' dredging, and also 20oz amalgam from the blowings. The secretary of the No Town Creek Gold Dredging Company Teports a return of 450z for 110 hours' work. The shortness of the week is due to the fact that some necessary repairs have been effected. The dredgema3tei of the Golden Run dredge xeports a return of 250z 15dwt 12gr for 86 tours' work. Of this return the Golden Gate Comssuur «ets fioz 17dwfc 18er. tha balance of
19oz 17dwt 18gr being retained by the Golden Run Company. The secretary of the Otago Company reports the following returns:—No. 1 dredge, 250z for seven days' work, No. 2 dredge, ]6oz. The dredgemaster of the latter drsdge reports that the drift has been bad. The secretary of the Rise end Shine Gold Dredging Company reports a return of 590z Bdwt for 127 hours' dredging. The dredgemaster states that the prospects are still good. The dredgemaster of the Leviathan dredge reports a return of 260z 19dwt for the week. All the machinery is running well. The secretary of the Alexandra Lead Gold Dredging Company reports a return of 340z 17dwt for 110 hours' work. The drift has been giving a lot of trouble. The secretary of the Olrig Gold Dredging Company reports a return of 15oz 17dwt for 126 hours' work. The dredga has now been turned, and is working back alongside the old workings. The secretary of the Great Woodstock Gold Dredging Company reports a return of 6oz ■for 92 hours' dredging. A day was lost during the week owing to the visit of tho inspector of machinery. The secretary of the Watterson's-Ahaura Dredging Compauy reports a leturn of 240z. Advice has bean received from the local director to the effect that the dredge has notf bottomed at a depth of 29ft on soft sandstone bottom, the wash looking right. Mr L. Ryan, Alexandra, reports that the Perseverance No. 2 diedge obtained 31oz 12dwt 9gr. The No. 1 dredge has been stopped since Tuesday night, as the top tumbler check was broken. The dredgemaster expected to start again on Monday.
