FIRBT DAT — SATTJRDAT, NOVEMBER 8. For the first day of the Auckland Racing Club's spring meeting the weather was showery during tho forenoon. The attendance was moderate. The totalizator receipts for the day were £6561. Mr Bradley's colt Wairiki had a decisive victory in the Guineas, answering to a call upon him at the lawn rails •when his chance did not look brilliant. The win was a popular one.
