August. 1 - The Coiouat on bazpar m aid of the convent funds was held an the Bluff Drill Hj.ll on Wednesday evening. The bazaar was opened by the Mayor in the piesence of a laigc number of patrons. The hal and stage were profusely decorated with bunting and evergreens, and tho Bluff Bitiid and a.n efficient orchestra discoursed tweet musn. at intervals. In addition to the usunl artii-les found on bazaar stalls were several pieces of reedlcwoik of «i. usual merit, and attiacted a deal of attention. Included in the varied piogrumme were several taubleaux performed by a iinmlicr of prettily-dressed children, who went through the various evolutions with graceful '-kill, the grouping and colouiing beins vt-iy haimonious and effective. The vciuig ladies, attired m fancy costumes, who had chaige of the fatalls, were adepts in tiie art of coaxing, and tiie convent funds hhould be lunieimliv augmented by Saturday night, at which tune the bazaar close.
