There was a large attendance at the sale to-day, when about 3500 sheep were offered. The bidding was slow throughout, and lots were hard to quit. The entry consisted mostly of breeding ewes, and, harvest being late, far* mers are not ready for their stocks. Fat wethers brought up to 13s 6d; fat ewe», 7s 9d to 10s 9d; two-tooth wethers, 8s 9d io 10s 3d; two and four-tooth ewes, up to 10s 4d; four, six, and eight-tooth ewe« (very good), brought up to lln 9d : full-mouth ewes, 63 to 8s 9d; old ewes, Is 9d to 4s 4d ; lamb 3 (culls), up to 4s lid; good, up to 7s Gd; tops, up to 8s Id. Cattle. — About ]10 were penned. Fat steer 3 3old up to £& 173 6d; fat heifcra, £0 to £6 ss; fat cows. £4 -to £5 15s; two-year-old steers. £4 2s Cd to £4 15s; one and a-half-year-old steers and heifers, £2 10s to £2 173 6d.
