HoAvever, it is a certainty that your cow's mammary gland fails, to perform its natural function, hence its secretion is contaminated ■with foreign material, Avhich may prove to "be a hotbed of infectious ailments if tised as an article of diet, either on your own table or on your neighbour's ; therefore if would be unwise to keep an animal such as you describe for dairy purposes. Mudlaek. — If your horse's hoof exhibits its natural conformation, and shows no symptoms of lameness or tenderness, it will, in my opinion, be less liable to become lame from the injury than the other foot.
