AMERICAN NAVIGATION LAWS.
■ ■ .» SYDNEY, August &8. Sir W. J. Lyne has already taken steps to seure united action with £he other colonies to induce- Great Britain to obtain from America some modification of her navigation laws, so as to place Australian commerce upon a more equitable footing. With * view to strengthening the Premier's action, a circular has been issued inviting merchants and others 'to protest against the restriction. Failing some modification, there is a general feeling in business circles that Australia should make some reprisals upon American shipping.
