Operations, in connection with the Ford' 9 Creek Gold Dredging Company, which is situated in the Blackball district, are getting on. apare. The pontoons, which are being built at the lower end of the claim, are well under way, and should be launched shortly. According to a local paper the machinery for this claim, which has been made by the Despatch Foundry, at Greymouth, is now ready for the road. It is expected the dredge will commence work in October.
