School Committed. — A circular was received by the school committee heie at the last meeting, the object being to bring about a change in the mode of electing the Education Board. Picnic and Prize Fund.— A conctrt and dance are to be held here on October 8 in aidof the above fund, and as we have had no d»nce for some time the affair should be a success.

The Koval Mail. — The miil which should have arrived to-day has gone to Hyde, and the mail belonging to that placa came instead. This is very annoying to people who hftd come long distances to get their letters, and unfortunately this is m t tbe first time it has occuired. Somebody needs waking up.
