Messrs Bemshaudt and Co. (near railway station) report as follows :—: — The strong feeling manifested in our market for the last few weeks has not abated, and prices are fully maintained. Full winters still range from lid to 12d, according to quality and condition, ': while choice thin-pelted are worth 12Jd to ]2}d, other sorts in proportion. Damaged, inothy, and small skins are neglected. Best winter blacks, ! 12d to 15d ; real silver-greys (full winters), 16d. | Our prices are net; 'no deductions for commission, warehouse charges, Ac. i Bair up to 15d. Hides from 2d per lb for light .to m for heavy ox. Dunedin, wool, sheepskin, rabbitskin, hair and hide merchants, report as follows for the week ending July 14 :—: — Rabbitskins.— Owing to the small quantities coming in and the evident signs of going offseason of the better grades there was a slightly improved competition for winters, with the result that on the average Jd advance was obtained. Lower qualities remaiu firm at former quotations— viz., sunnuent and suckers up to3Jd ; racks, 3Jd to 5d ; autumns, 5d to 8d ; incomings, 8d to 9d ; winters, lOd to 12Jd for the best. Hair continues firm, and in instances of extra prime lots Jd advance was obtained. Hides continue iv demand, and prices remain | unchanged. i Beeswax: — We have had some small inquiries 1 for this, and are open to buy.
