THE GLENBROOK MYSTERY.
THREE PEJRSONS MISSING. Stdney, November 30. The Glenbrook mystery is deepening. A third man named' Leslie is now reported to be missing. The Government bave offered a reward of LIOO for a clue. The police are scouring the mountains in tbe endeavour to find the remains of the missing men. During tbe search of a disused shaft; Detective M'Lean had a thrilling experience. Two men lowered him, and when he encountered a large snake at the bottom they were unable to haul him up, and the detective passed a bad five minutes before | extra help could be secured, and he was hauled safely to the top. Preston is the came of the second missing man. He was a student of mineralogy at Sydney University. Portions of his clothing have been found at Linden, and the police theory is that Heller was made away with at Glenbrook and Preston at Linden. The country round about is very wild. A man named Harwood or Butler Is " wanted " s in connection with the affair. A similar advertisement was inserted in tho Newcastle Daoars, bnt the regies were not called for.
