Our Lawrence correspondent writes: — "Mr John Thompson held a very successful sale here on Thursday. On account of the Bank of New Zealand and Colonial Back he offered sections 2 and 3, block I, Lawrence, with building formerly occupied by Bank of New Zealand, which realised £150, the purchaser* being Messrs Pillinef Bros. The farm at Tuapeka West • occupied by Mr J. Stewart, containing over 700 acres, realised £2 63 per acre, and was bought on account of present occupant. The Lawrence property ktqwn as the Old Schoolhouse, with saleyards adjoining, was bought, after spirited competition, by Mr William Adams for £ABS. Section 11, block VIIJ, with cottage thereon, fell to Mr R. M'Keich for £100. At Mr Thompson's stock sale competition for all classes of strck was keen, sheep realising Is per bead and cattle 53 more than at laßt sale."
